HANNOVER MILANO FAIRS SHANGHAI AND GLOBUS EVENTS FORM A JV COMPANY TO STRENGTHEN THEIR APAC’S TRADE PLATFORMS IN THE FLOORING INDUSTRY AND BEYOND

Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai— the joint venture between Deutsche Messe and Fiera Milano in China — and Globus Events have announced the establishment of DACF Exhibitions Shanghai Ltd. The new company, owned by both parties, will continue to organize DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR, the largest flooring exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region. The agreement was signed on January 8, during the 20th China Expo Forum for International Cooperation (CEFCO), held in Tianjin from January 8 to 10, 2025. 

Tang Zhaoqun, Executive Secretary of China National Forest Products Industry Association and Zhang Shujing, Division Director of Exhibition Management Department, CCPIT, were also present during the signing ceremony.

Part of DOMOTEX portfolio - Deutsche Messe’s globally renowned exhibition brand for the carpet and floorcovering industry - DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR was launched in Shanghai 26 years ago and has since taken place annually as a jointly organized event. Starting in 2025, it will become an asset of DACF Exhibitions Shanghai Ltd. which will assume full responsibility for the organization and management of the event. The new joint venture will also focus on expanding business opportunities in sectors of mutual interest within China and across the broader APAC region. The 27th edition of DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR will take place from May 26 to 28, 2025, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC – Hongqiao). The event is expected to host around 1,600 exhibitors from China and abroad, showcasing their latest products and innovations across seven dedicated halls covering over 200,000 sqm of gross exhibition space. The 2024 edition, held in May, attracted over 80,000 trade visitors and over 18,000 overseas buyers, further solidifying its position as the premier international B2B event for the flooring industry in the region.

Amid significant transformations in the global flooring industry, this partnership will prioritize enhanced professional services and the creation of a more comprehensive platform tailored to industry trends and customer needs.
